TESTIMONIAL

Ella S - Petroleum Engineer

"I have been working with Sam for 2 years now and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made since moving to Brisbane! I chose Sam as a PT because I thought he wouldn’t just be focussed on trying to lift massive weights for no other purpose than to be able to lift massive weights and he has certainly lived up to this expectation. Every week brings something different and I have learned so many new skills whilst also gaining strength. I can easily see the progress I have made through Sam’s consistent patience and trust in the process. The improvements he has helped me make have helped not only with my ability to lift heavier weights in the classes but have also transferred to better surfing (through increased stability and joint range of motion) and improved flexibility for general functional movements. Sam is very reliable (you can always count on him to show up!), accommodating in his schedule and makes early morning PT sessions something I look forward to every week. I can’t recommend him enough - you will definitely learn a new skill or two and have a laugh at the same time!

Learning to brace for movement

Abdominal bracing is something we do automatically when we lift heavy things. But for beginners it can be a bit uncomfortable. This is a quick guide that you can implement with your training to help you feel connected with every movement.

Kettlebell Front Rack

The kettlebell front rack is a foundation of kettlebell work. Not only does it build your wrist and grip strength, it will build shoulder stability and help your control uneven force and movement through your core. Once you have mastered the front rack, every other kettlebell exercise will be waiting for you.
